Compressed Fruit Balls with Balsamic Reduction

Ingredients:

For Compressed Fruit Balls:
2 cups mixed fruits (strawberries, blueberries, kiwi, and pineapple work well)
1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon fresh mint, finely chopped
1 tablespoon orange juice

For Balsamic Reduction:
1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
2 tablespoons honey
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

Instructions:

For Compressed Fruit Balls:
1. Compressed Fruit Balls:
1.1. Wash and dice the fruits into small, uniform-sized cubes.
1.2. In a bowl, mix the diced fruits with honey, chopped mint, and orange juice. Toss gently to combine.
1.3. Use a food-grade plastic wrap or a vacuum sealer to compress the fruits. If using plastic wrap, tightly wrap the mixed fruits, removing any air. If using a vacuum sealer, follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
1.4. Allow the compressed fruits to chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour to enhance the flavors and textures.
2. Balsamic Reduction:
2.1. In a small saucepan, combine balsamic vinegar, honey, and Dijon mustard.
2.2. Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat.
2.3. Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 10-15 minutes or until the mixture has thickened to a syrupy consistency.
2.4. Remove the balsamic reduction from heat and let it cool to room temperature.
3. Assembling:
3.1. Once the compressed fruits have chilled, unwrap or release them from the vacuum-sealed package.
3.2. Arrange the compressed fruit balls on a serving platter.
3.3. Drizzle the balsamic reduction over the compressed fruit balls.
3.4. Optionally, garnish with additional fresh mint.
3.5. Serve immediately and enjoy the burst of flavors and textures in every bite!

This Compressed Fruit Ball with Balsamic Reduction is a delightful and refreshing appetizer or dessert that combines the sweetness of fruits with the tangy richness of balsamic reduction. Adjust the honey and mint quantities according to your taste preferences.
